The singular choice is the Macau Golf and Country Club, located on Coloane Island, just 15 minutes away from the Macau Ferry Terminal and ten minutes away from the Macau International Airport. The course winds itself across the top of a mountain, where you can take in spectacular views over the picturesque Hac Sa Beach and the South China Sea. At the end of 2005, Macau should have its second course. The soon-to-be finished Orient Golf Club rests upon Taipa Strip, reclaimed land on Taipa Island, between Coloane and Macau. This pure links course has been designed with more than just the resort traveler in mind. Its exposed position, natural hazards, course length and design create an enjoyable golf experience. The project will have Macau's only 18 holes par 72 link style golf course, with a magnificent clubhouse designed by Harvard Master Architect Thomas Pen, and a members only guesthouse complete with swimming pool, spa, fitness center, conference rooms, restaurants, and services for business travelers. To accommodate the VIPs from the casinos, Orient Macau will issue only 300 memberships.
